Based on the  publication  alternation by L.J. Smith, The Vampire Diaries  pursues  Elena, a adolescent heroine, who is the  item  of  fondness  for two vampire brothers. Four months  after  the  harmful   vehicle   assault  that dead their parents, 17-year-old Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev, DeGrassi: The Next Generation) and her 15-year-old  male sibling,  Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen, Everwood) are still aggravating to  contend  with their affliction and move on with their lives. Elena has consistently been the  bright  student;  attractive,   acknowledged  and  convoluted  with academy and  associates,  but now she finds herself  distracting  to adumbrate her anguish from the world. As the academy year  starts,  Elena and her  escort  are  soaked up  by a handsome and abstruse  new   scholar,  Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley, Army Wives). Stefan and Elena are anon fatigued to one another, and Elena has no way of  living  that Stefan is a centuries-old vampire,  distracting  to  living  affably  in the middle of  humans, while his  male sibling  Damon (Ian Somerhalder, Lost) is the apotheosis of vampire  leave  and brutality. Now these two vampire  male siblings  - one good, one  furious  - are at  conflict  for Elena's body and for the  spirits  of her  associates,  ancestors and all the association of the baby boondocks of Mystic Falls, Virginia.
